On Instagram, a stylist can venture online and show how they styled clothes on a bigger platform. Liv MacMunn, known as “Styledbylivm” has over 70.5k followers on Instagram with over 2,300 posts, showcasing her talent in styling outfits.

I asked Liv some questions on what it’s like to be a virtual stylist and her love of styling.
When did you first become interested in fashion?
Liv: I became interested in fashion when I was super young, I always remember enjoying putting outfits together.
Why did you create your account?
Liv: I created my account just for fun originally, I loved putting together looks on Polyvore so thought why not share them on Instagram?
How would you define fashion?
Liv: I think fashion is an amazing way for everyone to express themselves, it’s such a creative way to do so.
Who do you think has the best style?
Liv: I love Hailey Bieber’s style. I think she looks so effortlessly put together.
Favorite fashion brand?
Liv: My favorite fashion brand is Versace, but 90s Versace.
Who inspires your sense of style?
Liv: I take a lot of inspiration from Pinterest, as well as from movies/TV shows, Hailey Bieber is my main source of style inspiration too!
Tell me about your personal style
Liv: My personal style is very 90s-inspired and simple, I love pairing basic straight-leg jeans with a crop top as a base look, and then pairing that with a statement jacket or cute pair of sneakers.
Where are your favorite places to shop?
Liv: I love ASOS because there are so many different brands on there to discover.
Which current trends are you enjoying right now? And which ones do you incorporate in your clothing selections?
Liv: I love anything 90s-inspired, so I tend to include those in my looks, for example, baggy jeans and oversized jackets.
What trend do you think should be destroyed?
Liv: Anything low-rise! And crocs!
What are some staple pieces you think everyone should have in their closet?
Liv: Definitely a racer back crop top in every color, they’re so easy to style up! And a pair of straight-leg jeans!
Have you ever styled a client? And if so, can you share your worst or best experiences?
Liv: Yes! My best experience was flying to LA for a job, it was huge for my career!

Liv: Hailey Bieber or Bella Hadid
Any advice you would like to give to others who want to be virtual stylists?
Liv: Well, I would tell them to have a style of their own because it makes it easier when you are styling for others because you can add your own twist to it. Also, I would say to never give up, if you like what you are doing nothing else should matter.
