Have you ever met someone and sparks just flew? Most of the time these interactions happen in the usual places: at a party, in class, at a bar, etc. But every once in a while sparks fly where you least expect them to. Sometimes it can be pretty awkward, but other times you end up with a number, future plans, and feeling like you are on top of the world. Below is a list of some of the weirdest places that our HC staff have met future dates. Enjoy! (Note: For some of these the awkwardness level was off the charts.)
1. Vigil for fallen soldiers
Nothing is more romantic than meeting in a place where you are remembering and praying for the deceased, especially if it’s in candlelight.
2. The bathroom
I mean if they are washing their hands, they are probably a keeper, right?
3. The elevator
Because in small, sometimes crowded places, you really get to know your fellow passengers.
4. The frozen food section of the grocery store
Just remember: frozen spaghetti may be the only thing you have in common with your date.
And as great as the date may end up being, nothing can compare to Lady and the Tramp.
5. When you are on a date with someone else
They deserve extra points if they lean over your date to ask you out.
6. The library
I know it does not seem weird at first glance, but it is a little odd to fall asleep in the library, where you later wake up to a cute note with your date’s number. But at the same time it is also super sweet. **sigh**
