Recently, during a rainstorm, I put on my generic, run-of-the-mill rainboots to brave the weather outside. Knowing I was protected from the catastrophe of wet feet, I intentionally stepped into a giant puddle…and ended up with soaked feet. Unbeknownst to me, my rainboots, which I bought my sophomore year of high school, somehow developed a giant rip in the side.
And I was devastated. It was tragic.
But I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason (even when it comes to the non-rainboot parts of life), and I am now the very happy owner of a pair of Hunter rainboots. I didn’t have a reason to buy them before, but after my non-name brand fiasco, I wanted to invest in a sturdy, quality pair of boots. I have not been disappointed.
