HC: What are some extracurricular activities that you do at Pitt?

JG: I’m part of a couple clubs, like the Psychology club and the Sociology Student Association. I also go to the gym a lot.

HC: What’s the first thing you notice about a girl?

JG: Probably her eyes.

HC: Describe your personality in three words.

JG: I would say I’m definitely quiet, but I also have a sensitive and caring side.

HC: Excuse me while my heart melts. In a movie about your life, who would play you?  

JG: [no hesitation] Denzel Washington.

HC: I was going to say Usher, but that works too. Sorrento’s or Antoon’s?

JG: Sorrento’s, of course.

HC: Man after my own heart. Campus Deli or Larry and Carol’s?

JG: Campus Deli, but I’ve never been to Larry and Carol’s.

HC: What has been your most embarrassing moment at Pitt?

JG: It has to do with a girl…. [laughs] Just being a freshman and talking to a girl, that’s all I’ll say.

HC: I feel that. Describe the future Mrs. Gambrel.

JG: Let’s see… that’s really complex, but I’ll keep it simple. We get along, of course, and she’s fun to hang out with and we just click.
