1)Ā LipstickandPolitics.comĀ – Get It all In One Place
Similar to our own site but with a bit more wisdom from experience, this site has everything you crave during Finals week in their articles, videos, and thoughtful quotes that pop up. LipstickandPolitics.com covers everything from being single on the holidays and dealing with being bombarded with annoying happy couples on TV to Occupy movements and what it means for our generation. Did I mention they are all wrapped up into clever, short, concise pieces that wonāt leave you left with no time for that last paper?….Ā
I canāt stop visiting the site and have been Tweeting and FBing just about everything I read. Insightful, entertaining, and most importantly, another way to relieve yourself from 5 or 10 minutes of studying.
2)Ā Man of Freeman– Serenade Me
Ā A much desired voice filled with a hint of that endearing British accent we love so much, his voice is a wakeup call for us that, while Pandora is absolutely a lifesaver, all the songs sound exacty the same.. Duh, thatās why itās successful.
However, in this treacherous week already filled with monotony and repetition: drink coffee, read boring words, chug energy drink, write boring words, bang head against wall, eat pizza (Repeat), Man of Freemanās masculine, yet passionate voice will allow you to escape (foā free⦠thanks FB!) if only just for a few minutes. If you only listen to one, listen to Hints From My Eyes. Ā Iām no musical critic but his lyrics combined with his refreshing voice, guitar, beats, and overall sound definitely hooked me. Warning: You may become addicted. Donāt forget to āLikeā it if you do, in fact like it! Heās just launched his songs on FB so share with friends and hop on to follow his journey! Some other Brits to check out: Kate Nash, Lily Alan, Florence and the Machine singing Drakeās Take Care, Ā Mumford and Sons, & Olly Murs.

3)Ā TheHairPin.com– Ā A Quick LifesaverĀ
Another quick hit for a laugh, an insight, and a bit of knowledge gained. Be it about moisturizer, makeup, fashion, celebs⦠Knowledge is knowledge this week, my friends. The site hits on everything including music, technology, inventions, and more.
Again, they provide us (the short attention spanned creatures we have become) with lots of pictures and videos and use a witty, sarcastic language weāve come to require from writers (including our Bio textbook writers.. when will they learn how simple it truly is to keep our attention?! )
4) Ā Damn You AutoCorrect– Villain or Victim?
Ā If you have an iphone, you are now entering a place where you can see you are not alone in the disgusting and volatile texts you have sent to parents, work people, and bosses. For those of you who havenāt stepped into the 21st century yet, youāve certainly been a victim of the autocorrect so this affects you too! Remember that time your boyfriend texted you that his grandmom was pregnant? Or the time your dad texted you to put away your dildo? Yes, my fellow panthers, you have been a victim of the Autocorrect. Enjoy.
5)SomeEcards.com
Last but certainly not least, a place to find the way to express precisely how you are feeling in approximately 7 words or less. Go nuts. And donāt miss the link on the site to create your own! After all, itās a great exercise to get your creative juices flowing⦠you know for your Finals. Now, get back to work!Ā
