HC Pitt’s Monthly Favorites For The Month Of September

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

So we try to share our monthly favorites each month so we know what everyone’s into and can find new trends/find out what everyone is up to! We are so excited to have begun the 16-17 school year and thus have brand new HC babies to participate in this!!! So without any further delay, check out our absolute FAVORITE things from September:

Switched At Birth! 4 seasons are on Netflix and they’re working on the 5th now! – Chantelle

Shameless! All of the seasons are on Netflix and the newest season is coming soon (or is out?) and it’s just hilarious – Megan

Swell water bottle. Its super cute and keeps my water cold. it makes me want to drink more during the day – Emma

Passion Planner….just got one & I already bought new pens, highlighters, tape… lol – Ashleigh

Pumpkin cereal bars from trader joe’s, they’re called “this pumpkin walks into a bar”…they’re addicting! – Tess

How To Get Away with Murder is back!!!! Just came back this past thursday, september 22! – Julia

I basically live in overall dresses now. They’re so cute and comfortable! – Megan

Watched the first episode of the new show Notorious on Thursday and my roomie and I are already OBSESSED (everyone check it out). Also, I’ve been burning this candle called “Snuggly Sweater” from Target and I love it, so that’s another fave – Katie S.

Wildflower phone cases. They have so many cute and trendy designs, including any pattern of marble you could want! – Dominique

This amazing cuticle oil (Bliss Kiss Simply Pure Cuticle and Nail Oil) has changed my life – Katie O.

Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur. She writes about love, loss, healing, etc. and her poems really hit home. I keep this book on my nightstand and read it when I’m feeling everything from stressed to happy. She also posts poems sometimes to her Instagram: @rupikaur – Jessie I.

My monthly favorite is cardigans! The weather has finally been cold enough at points to wear them – Kelly

Mine are Bobs Burgers and the new season of AHS. My boyfriend and I think it’s the best one so far!! Also buffalo chicken pizza because it’s addicting – Sarah

My monthly favorite is The Lumineers. They haven’t put out new music this month or anything, but I just can’t get enough of them! Literally all I’ve listened to. – Hannah

Also, To Write Love On Her Arms. TWLOHA is a non-profit dedicated to finding help for people struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide. They had a booth at firefly and my friend bought me a bracelet that says “No one else can play your part” which I am absolutely in love with. I think I’m going to treat myself to a shirt this week too <3 https://twloha.com/ – Hannah

My monthly favorite is my backpack. This is the first year that I’ve purchased a bag that isn’t Vera Bradley, but my vera backpack just was not up to college life. I decided to try Jansport, and I love my pattern and the functionality with all the pockets. Izzie loves it too! – Mariah

September fave is “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 2. Pittsburgh queen, Alaska, is a current contestant. The performance, comedy, and fashion are all on point, along with the surprise twist – the contestants have to eliminate themselves. – Caroline

My yoga mat. This month has been extremely hectic and stressful for me so finding time on my yoga mat each day really helps with grounding me and making me realize that at the end of the day all you can do is your best – Taylor

And my personal favorite has been Orange is the New Black. I got on the bandwagon super late and I’m making my way through it VERY slowly because I started it while I was abroad (and I don’t want to be done too soon!) but since I got back this month it’s been a very Orange month.

Tell us what your favorites are!!!
