Harry’s House: Everything We Know About Harry Styles’ Third Studio Album

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pitt chapter.

Over the past few months, fans of Harry Styles have been noticing cryptic messages across social media. The Fine Line singer finally announced last week that his third studio album, titled Harry’s House, is set to release on May 20, 2022.

Styles’ hints about the new album have been subtle, to say the least. However, after he shared the album’s name, observant fans began to put the pieces together. Halfway through last year’s Love on Tour, he changed the names of stadium layouts from “cherry” and “watermelon” to names of rooms like “kitchen,” “hallway,” and “bedroom.” The fruit names were an obvious nod to the sweet summer sounds of Fine Line, so it only made sense that the rooms would have to do with the next album. And of course, no one could forget his iconic Halloween costume when he dressed as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz and asked fans, “Are you ready to go home?”

Finally, though, the singer dropped the act and gave us some straight answers on March 23. Fans were excited to see a teaser video of Styles on a stage against the background of a house with the caption, “Harry’s House. May 20th.”

After two hugely successful albums, fans have high expectations for Harry’s House. The album’s first single, “As It Was,” came out on April 1. The song maintains Styles’ easy charm while drawing on an 80s-inspired synth-pop sound, while the bittersweet lyrics prove that he’s still a force to be reckoned with as a lyricist.

Styles’ genre-blending style has made him one of the most important artists releasing music today, and we can’t wait to see what Harry’s House has in store.
