With the last home basketball game of the season coming up Wednesday, the traditions of the Oakland Zoo are more important than ever. With a record of 19 – 10, the Pitt Panthers have a chance of being in the March Madness tournament if they do well in the upcoming games of the regular season and the ACC tournament. Even if you’re not much of a basketball fan, the silly antics of the Zoo, including the makeshift confetti that comes raining down after the first basket, the blown up cardboard emojis floating around the audience, and the constant jumping and screaming, make the game off the court just as exciting as the one on it. So pull out your newspapers and get ready to cheer on your team in the Oakland Zoo one more time this season! Hail to Pitt!
