Recently, I had the fantastic opportunity of trying out two Wacom products: Intuos Draw and the Bamboo solo! I am someone who is a visual learner so all of my notes, and outside work have some element of creativity to them. I might use block letters for a header, or draw a diagram that explains a concept. Whatever I’m doing, I like to do it without having crappy pens that are rough or have a discontinuous flow of ink coming from them. I might even draw on my laptop but that can be extremely hard with my fingers (laptop is touchscreen) or my mousepad.
That’s why I really love the Intuos Draw Tablet! It comes with a ‘pen’ that can make it extremely easy to draw small detail for a project or even a drawing that you’re working on. The setup process is foolproof because all you have to do is download the software (free) from online and the tablet is good to go! You can use it with any software that you have already, including Paint on PC. It comes in three different colors (white, black, blue) along with the USB to connect your tablet to your computer, and an installation CD. I really liked the product, however the one thing I didn’t like was how delayed it was. It took 20 seconds after you drew on the tablet for the image to appear on the screen.
My favorite product was the Bamboo Solo Stylus. Mine came in hot pink, and the outside is made of smooth metal that’s kind of in a triangular shape. On one end is the stylus and on the other is a fine tipped ballpoint pen. I’m very picky about my pens! This one is perfect for me, because it writes smooth and dark. I can doodle, draw, and take notes and it works for all three of them! It’s really pretty, lightweight, reusable, and versatile. The only con is that the slightly triangular shape takes some getting used to, but other than that it’s become my favorite pen!
