HC: What are some extracurricular activities that you do at Pitt?
CQ: I play Pitt rugby and I just emailed the Pitt Ballroom Club yesterday because I want to learn how to dance. It’s like Latin and American ballroom dancing with salsa and tango.
HC: Where do you see yourself in 20 years?
CQ: Well, I’ll be 40. I see myself in a house, with a wife and some kids, doing pretty well. My kids are gonna be two years apart so they can grow up together.
HC: Great idea! Describe your personality in three words.
CQ: Shy but outgoing.
HC: So Meta. In a movie about your life, who would play you?
CQ: The guy in Machete. What’s his name? Oh yeah, Danny Trejo. [Author’s Note: look him up. LOLZ]
HC: What’s your most embarrassing moment at Pitt?
CQ: When I first started dancing to Shakira, because I wasn’t good then.
HC: And then?
CQ: Now? Oh, I’m good.
HC: What’s your favorite Shakira song?
CQ: [no hesitation] “Hips Don’t Lie.”
HC: Describe future Mrs. Quiros.
CQ: Well, she’s got to laugh at my jokes. She has to like sketty [sic: see “spaghetti”]. She has to be nice and have a good sense of humor. I want her to be an independent woman.
HC: What’s your idea of the perfect date?
CQ: We’ll go out to dinner and when the check comes, she’ll reach for it. I won’t let her pay, but knowing that she would pay means she’s an independent lady and definitely a keeper.
