It’s here! It’s finally here! Spring has sprung!

Did you survive the winter? Are you enjoying the sunshine? I know I definitely am.

I also know that the beautiful weather has a magical way of cheering me up. All of a sudden I prefer to listen to happy, perky music and want to twirl in fields of daisies in bright, warm sunshine. Though I’m lacking the fields of flowers, I do have playlists full of energetic music to celebrate spring.

Here’s an example of my selection, which you can listen to here

 

1. “Lift Your Spirit” by Aloe BlaccYou probably recognize Aloe Blacc from Avicii’s “Wake Me Up.” He’s an American singer, songwriter, and rapper. 

2. “Sun Shy” by DressesDresses is an indie band consisting of a man and woman from Portland, Oregon. They recently released an album titled Sun Shy.

 

3. “Classic” by MKTO“Classic” was the second song released by American pop duo MKTO (cleverly named using their initials). MKTO recently opened for Emblem3 during their summer tour.

 

4. “La Da Dee” by Cody SimpsonAustralian Cody Simpson began posting covers on YouTube before he was discovered by Jay-Z’s Grammy nominated producer, Shawn Campbell. It was just announced that he will compete on the next season of Dancing with the Stars

5. “Rocketship” by Shane HarperShane Harper is a California-born actor, singer, and dancer. You may have seen him in Disney Channel’s Good Luck Charlie. He released a self-titled album in 2012. 

6. “Tip Toes” by Jayme DeeJayme Dee is a singer from California whose song “Rules” was featured on the Hunger Games soundtrack. She toured with Owl City in 2012. 

7. “Trampoline” by The Unlikely CandidatesThe Unlikely Candidates is an indie-rock band from Texas. They formed in 2008 and have released one EP. 

8. “Cardiac Arrest” by Bad SunsBad Suns is an alternative band of college-aged guys from California. The band formed in 2012 and has released one EP.
