Fall and cocktails: two of my favorite things, so why not combine them? I gathered together 4 of the most popular cocktail drinks and added a fall twist to them. The fifth cocktail is more of a fun old fashioned mix, but still a must try! Let’s get into it!

Harvest Apple Cider Margarita

Margs are arguably one of the best cocktails there are. Add a fall twist to them and they get even better.

What you’ll need:

  • Cinnamon sugar for the rim
  • 2 ounces of your favorite tequila
  • 1/2 ounce of orange liquor
  • 4 ounces of apple cider
  • Juice from 1/2 a lime
  • 1-2 teaspoons of maple syrup
  • Apple slices and cinnamon sticks for serving

Directions:

  • In a large pitcher, combine the tequila, orange liquor, apple cider, lime juice, maple and ice.
  • Mix ingredients
  • When ready to serve, rim glasses in salted cinnamon sugar.
  • Pour the margarita into glasses.
  • Garnish with apple slices and cinnamon sticks.
pumpkin spice Moscow Mule

Moscow mules are another personal favorite. Let’s add some pumpkin spice to make it the next most popular cocktail!

What you’ll need:

  • 2-4 oz vanilla vodka
  • 1 heaping tablespoon of pumpkin puree
  • ¼ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
  • Juice from a squeezed lime
  • Spicy ginger beer

Directions:

  • In a cocktail shaker filled with ice shake together vodka, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice and lime juice.
  • Pour into a copper mule mug filled with ice and top with ginger beer to serve.

This is a fall twist to the classic brunch cocktail. I’ve made it before and it’s definitely a must for you to make this fall, too! It’s also probably the simplest cocktail you can make from this list.

What you’ll need:

  • Your choice of champagne
  • Apple cider

Directions:

  • Add apple cider 3/4 of the way full to a champagne glass.
  • Top off the rest of the glass with your champagne and serve.
