The season for gift-giving is here and it seems that college students are notoriously hard to shop for. From practical to fun, here are five ideas to inspire you this holiday season.

Cash

Often cash can be thought of as an impersonal gift and frowned upon. In my opinion, it is a perfectly acceptable and versatile gift for college students. The saying “broke college kid” didn’t come out of nowhere and cash ensures your gift will truly be something that they will use.

reusable water bottle

Hydration is key but can be difficult when you are running in between classes all day. A cute water bottle is an eco-friendly and useful gift!

slipperS

Slippers are amazing in the winter but can be thought of as a needless expense to buy for yourself, especially on a college budget. However, after I received my slippers on Christmas morning two years ago, I don’t go a week without wearing them.

streaming service subscription

One of my favorite ways to relax after a day full of classes is to watch some TV. Every day it seems like there is a new streaming service coming out that has one of my favorite shows that I can no longer access, making a streaming subscription a great gift that is both practical and thoughtful.

Mug warmer

A cozy and caffeinated drink while studying definitely boosts my mood and motivation. But in the winter months, I find my drink is cold before I finish it which is why a mug warmer is a game changer. It keeps your drink at the perfect temperature while your nose is in the books.

Happy shopping!
