With each season comes fashion trends that you either love or hate. Some make a lasting impression, while some turn out to be just fads. You can partake in fall fashion trends without breaking the bank. All of these pieces can be found online.

Faux Leather Jacket

A leather jacket is a cute and versatile fall piece. It can be dressed up or down, depending on what pieces you layer with it. Missguided has a wide array of faux leather jackets for great prices. Plus, they offer 10% off for students. This jacket’s oversized, boxy style that will surely keep you warm for the fall transition. Click here to check out our leather jacket pick.

Tennis Skirt

I never thought in 2020 I’d be wearing a tennis skirt for fashion, but here we are. A white, pleated tennis skirt pairs surprisingly adorable with an oversize collegiate sweatshirt or collared shirt. Make your look athletic with this affordable tennis skirt from Amazon.

Loungewear Sets

Comfortable loungewear has become fashion since the start of quarantine and I don’t see them going out of style anytime soon. Many Instagram accounts have popped up the last few months creating custom loungewear sets. My favorite account is Killadyes (@killadyes). The founder is a senior in high school who makes custom tie-dye jogger and crewneck sets. She always offers a package deal. Support a woman-owned small business by ordering from Killadyes.

Wide Leg Jeans

These wide leg jeans are famous – literally. Otherwise known as the “Tik Tok” jeans, these are consistently selling out. They’re the perfect denim for a casual fall day. The high waist structure gives you shape, while the wide leg allows you to breath. Snatch these before they sell out again from Zara.

Chelsea Booties

With Pittsburgh weather, you never know what to expect when you step out your door. Prepare for anything with these Chelsea rain boots. This pair is on sale for only $32, plus ASOS offers a student discount.

Chunky Gold Hoops

Adding hoops to your look can bring it from plain to sophisticated. These chunky gold hoops from Amazon are a dupe for the Jennifer Fisher hoops. They’re made from real gold, so they won’t tarnish as easily or irritate your ears. I wear these almost every day – I’m obsessed.

Oversized Flannel

Flannels hold a nostalgic place in my heart. They remind me of sitting by a fire with my friends after high school football games. With flannels, the bigger the better. This particular one from Old Navy is already oversized & is available in five different colors. Or, flannels can be found at almost any thrift store for a reasonable price. I always find hidden gems in the men’s section.

Shoulder Bag

This shoulder bag is the right size to carry just the necessities for a fall night out. The crocodile accents give it a textured, edgy look that I adore. Nasty Gal also offers a 10% student discount.

Cropped Cardigan

Cropped cardigans are the perfect transition piece from summer to fall. They cover you up for the chilly evening, but they’re lightweight for the daytime. This cardigan from Target is only $20 and is available in five colors.
