If you’re like me, you feel naked without nail polish on. Even two coats of a simple color makes me feel like I have my life in (some sort of) order. But, sometimes, I want my nails to show my holiday spirit. Halloween is one of the best occasions to explore and experiment with nail art because there are so many designs to choose from. If you want scary, there are designs for that. If you want cute, there are designs for that. If you want your nails to match your outfit, there are (probably) designs for that.

Here are a few of my favorite Halloween-inspired nails:

Cute

1. Pumpkins and Stripes

A quick tutorial is available on Instagram.

2. Frankenstein

It looks so much more difficult than it really is! Watch the quick tutorial on Instagram.

3. Candy Corn Gradient

Don’t want to go all-out for Halloween but still want to show your holiday spirit? A candy corn gradient might be the thing for you. Watch the Instagram tutorial here.

4. Ghost Emoji

The ghost emoji is super cute, so why not celebrate it on your nails? Watch the mini-tutorial on Instagram.

5. Witch Legs

How cute are these?! You just need a steady hand and some patience.  Watch the Instagram tutorial.

Scary

6. Crime Scene

Finger-painting for your fingers. Watch the tutorial on Instagram.

7. Bloody Fingers

This was my preferred nail art for Halloween last year—super easy, and I got so many compliments on it. Just take a dotting tool (or a bobby pin or toothpick) and drag dark red nail polish to make blood drips. Connect the blood drips at the tip of the nail to make it a French manicure.

8. Creepy Cat Eyes

This is the first design on my list of nail art to try this holiday. They’re so cool! Take a look at the Instagram tutorial.

Costume Nails

Are you dressing up as something and want nails to match? There are lots of tutorials to choose from online. Here are some examples:

9. Pop Art

10. Snow White

11. Nautical

12. Jack Skellington

13. French Manicures

14. Polka Dot Spiders

15. Blood Spatter

16. “Five Cute & Easy Halloween Nails”

There are so many nail art designs you can try. If you’re looking for something specific, just Google it and you’re bound to find something you’ll like and want to show off on your nails.

Good luck and have fun. Happy Halloween!
