Shopping in Malibu often seems unattainable. The shops tend to be expensive, which is not something many college students want to deal with. However, there are some shops around town that aren’t entirely over-priced. You just have to be willing to explore and browse for enough time to find what you’re looking for. Here are a few places you may want to go to before driving through the Canyon or to Santa Monica.

1. Burro

This gift shop sells books, home accessories, and trinkets that every collegiette needs every now and then. Although many of its products are on the expensive side, there are also many that are surprisingly affordable.

2. Urban Outfitters

While Urban Outfitters isn’t exactly a Malibu find, it is a store that you can often count on to find what you’re looking for. Although most of its apparel is more expensive than it needs to be (in my opinion), there are usually sale items and other times when you can find things at a relatively reasonable price.

3. M. Frederic

This California-style clothing store may or may not have what you are looking for, but if you look around, it probably will. It also helps that each time you purchase something, you get a coupon to use up until a month after the date of your last purchase.

4. Sephora

Sephora has a range of beauty products, so you will likely find something you need or want for the price you like. Check out the Sephora Collection for great products that are less expensive than many of their other name-brand counterparts.

5. Beauty Collection

This is another option for those of you looking for beauty products. Like Sephora, this store holds a range of beauty products, so you will likely find what you’re looking for!
