It’s quarantine time…you know what that means? Online shopping! So, I finally caved and bought my first Ipsy bag. I paid $12 plus tax for 6 beauty products and a cute little makeup bag. My review: it was worth it! I filled out a profile online with my skin color, eye color, preferences, etc. so they could specifically pick each product for me and I am thrilled with the results. Here is my review of each product:

  • Shaina B’s “Guava Glow” highlighter is beautiful. It is a nice pale pink shimmer and I am in love with it! It is pictured above.
  • Kensie “So Pretty” perfume: this perfume is fabulous! It is both fruity and floral, which for me is perfect. It came in a cylindrical spray tube that is the perfect size for traveling, keeping in your purse, or in your car.
  • The Foxybae “Don’t Hate, Hydrate” hair mask was a lifesaver. I spent about two years dyeing my hair blonde and it has yet to recover, but this mask made my hair feel so fresh and healthy!
  • Awake lip mask smells great and feels great on my lips. I am definitely a lip balm girl and hate chapped lips so getting this was a lovely surprise.
  • I love the naked cosmetics eyeshadow “Mother Nature” they sent me! I am a big fan of sparkly eyeshadow and this bronze shimmer is just perfect for nightlife makeup.
  • The bag also came with a Luxie “640 Pro Precision Tapered Brush” to use with the highlighter. It came in the color “periwinkle.” I don’t have a vast collection of makeup brushes so I am thrilled about this one. It is wonderfully soft and vegan too!

Hello! My name is Emma. I am a student at Pepperdine University and I am studying Philosophy with the hopes of obtaining my MFT license after I graduate in 2021. I was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Waco, Texas. That being said, I am avid supporter of Baylor sports and TexMex! I believe mental health is the most important thing to maintain in college. Some ways that I maintain mine include (but are not limited to) boxing, Disney, and beach days with my friends out here in Malibu!

This is my senior year of college and I'm a Public Relations major with a Creative Writing outside concentration. I was born and raised in So-Cal and love it so much I couldn't go too far. As much as South California is my home, I adore traveling and learning about other cultures. A Disney fan to the core you can find me watching any of their movies, or breaking my bank account at Disneyland, and if not I'll probably be reading, writing, or enjoying the Malibu climate.
