How to Have a Fun Night on Campus (Even if it’s Dead)

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pepperdine chapter.

Some nights when campus is quiet it seems like it’d be impossible to have any fun, but it’s an easy problem to solve. Plus, by staying in you’ll save gas and money that you would’ve spent off campus. Get your friends together and try one of these fun options:

1. Spa Night

With the stress school causes, it’s important to take time to pamper yourself. Use your favorite face mask or if you’re feeling resourceful, try searching online for a DIY mask and make one with ingredients you have on hand. If you feel like going the extra mile, pick up a mask for your hair too.

2. Game Night

A game night is an inexpensive way to have a ton of fun with your friends. If you don’t have any board games on hand, borrow some from the library. Or if you have a deck of cards, there are a lot of games you can play. Plus, a game night is perfect for when there’s bad weather outside and you have to stay in.

3. Potluck

Tired of caf food? Host a potluck! This will be especially fun for upperclassmen who have kitchens in their dorms, but if you don’t have a kitchen, don’t worry. Having everyone bring their favorite food from Ralph’s is an easy way to bring your friends together and create a fun feast.

4. Movie Night

Let’s be honest, a lot of your friends will be sitting in their rooms on Netflix anyways, so why not have a movie night together? If none of your friends have a Netflix account (yes, that’s not impossible), the library is a great resource for DVDs. Pick out a movie, pop some popcorn, and have a fun time with your friends!
