We have all been there before. We think we can push washing our hair one more day only to wake up late and see the oil forming at our roots. And there is no time to wash your hair and blow dry it before class! Yes, it is always an annoying moment in the morning. You want a quick solution, but find that even the dry shampoo you just bought is not doing anything for you. It’s disappointing and frustrating. For some reason, dry shampoo is still one of those products that are hard to find. Sure, many mainstream brands have their own version of it, and some are even brands that you would regularly trust. However, their dry shampoo just does not cut it! So many people hate dry shampoo for this reason; they think that it is too hard to find one that works. However, it honestly is a super helpful product to have on hand. I am all for a quick solution to any hair problem, but I hate using products that do not work. Because of that, I have tried many different brands’ dry shampoos, so here are my top recommendations and rankings so that you will know which one to try next!

5. amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo: $10

This volumizing dry shampoo is the perfect hair refresher in between washes. It will get the job done and leave you feeling confident for the rest of the day.

4. Lush No Drought Dry Shampoo: $15.95

This dry shampoo is especially convenient because it comes in powder form, so it is easier to work through hair. However, you also have to be extra careful to not apply more than is necessary because removing the residue can be time-consuming.

3. Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo: $22

This best-seller is on the expensive side as far as dry shampoos go. However, your hair will thank you for investing in it. This dry shampoo allows for a quick solution to your hair oil woes in the morning and will keep your hair looking and feeling fresh all day.

2. Batiste Dry Shampoo: $7.99*

This has been the dry shampoo brand to use since dry shampoo became a thing people began to trust. It’s affordable, effective, and comes in many scents. This one is my personal go-to!

1. Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo: $23*

This one is certainly worth the splurge. It doesn’t have an overpowering scent, but still smells fresh and it gets the job done quickly. You also won’t have to worry about having to reapply midday; since the product works so well, your hairdo will last and look great throughout the day. The brand also carries versions for colored hair, so check those out if you want to take an extra step to protect last week’s highlights.

*Tip: I listed all of the products with the price of the full bottle. However, the travel size bottles are less expensive and also a good way for you to sample the product before committing to buying a full bottle.
