As someone who loves celebrating the holidays, I wanted to compile a list of events that are going on in the Los Angeles to help spread the holiday cheer!

The Hollywood Christmas Parade

One of the most longstanding holiday traditions in Los Angeles is on Sunday December 1, 2019 at 5PM on Hollywood Boulevard. Marching bands, equestrians, and music performers fill the streets for a one-of-a-kind Christmas celebration. Tickets for grandstand seats can be purchased and picked up at will-call.

Holidays at the Disneyland Resort

From November 8, 2019 to January 6, 2020, you can visit Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks and experience the magic of the Holidays. Most of the park is transformed into a Christmas Wonderland with the Buena Vista Street Tree Lighting ceremony and “Disney! Viva Navidad!” celebrations all at hand!

Grinchmas at Universal Studios Hollywood

From November 28 to December 29, visit Universal Studios Hollywood to experience Grinchmas, a Christmas celebration in Who-ville, and a nighttime show at Hogwarts Castle! For a Universal Studios Christmas on a budget, visit Universal’s Citywalk to see a beautiful Christmas tree lighting festival or the Chanukah candle lighting ceremony.

See a Showing of the Nutcracker

At Pepperdine University’s Smother’s Theatre, experience the Ballet Conservatory West’s rendition of Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” on Saturday, December 14 at 1:00PM and 6:00PM

Christmas at The Grove

CitiBank presents a Christmas Celebration at the Grove; with performances from Andy Grammer and Daya to a firework spectacular, this is an event you won’t want to miss. The event is free and open to the public on November 18 from 7:30-9:00PM

Hanukkah Family Festival

Join the Skirball Cultural Center for a day of live music, storytelling, art, and inspiration at this celebration of the ancient Jewish festival of light on December 15, 2019. Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for kids

Celebrate Hanukkah at the LA Farmers Market

On West 3rd Street in Los Angeles, the LA Farmers Market Hanukkah celebration is one you won’t want to miss! Visit food vendors ranging from French cuisine to classic American and experience the lighting of the Menorah.

B.I.G. Kwanzaa Celebration

Visit the YMCA of Glendale and join them for one of the best Kwanzaa celebrations in Los Angeles! DrumLIVE drumming will be there, along with dancing, and candle lighting ceremony, kids crafts, a head wrap demo, and much more. The event is potluck style, so bring a dish to share!

This is my senior year of college and I'm a Public Relations major with a Creative Writing outside concentration. I was born and raised in So-Cal and love it so much I couldn't go too far. As much as South California is my home, I adore traveling and learning about other cultures. A Disney fan to the core you can find me watching any of their movies, or breaking my bank account at Disneyland, and if not I'll probably be reading, writing, or enjoying the Malibu climate.
