We Had a “Charming” Night with Her Campus Pace x The CW!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

The coming of October means it’s SPOOKY SEASON, and what better way to get in the spirit than to cuddle up in your favorite PJs with your BFFs and watch a show about witches? That’s right, the CW’s new series Charmed premiered October 14th , and Pace University’s Chapter of Her Campus was SO there for it.

Our Chapter got the opportunity to partner with the CW Sunday night to have a viewing party for the brand-new show, Charmed. Here at Pace we go all out, so along with the awesome swag and merch we received through our partnership, we decided to make the night a PJ Party. All of our members showed up decked out in their cutest PJ sets, covered head-to-toe in onesies, or wrapped up in blankets- safe to say the rest of the e-board and I could not get enough.

What would a PJ party be without food? Pizza, candy, popcorn, a full hot chocolate bar, and a birthday cake littered the tables. The hot cocoa bar to add to the coziness of the night, the birthday cake to celebrate our awesome Campus Correspondent’s birthday! The pizza and candy made the movie night like a girls night in, and they’re yummy, so why not? I know I speak for all of HC Pace when I tell you all of the attendees were comfy, cozy, AND well-fed.

Now onto the show. Since our chapter was chosen to partner with the CW for this viewing party, we received some awesome Charmed swag. We gave the Charmed cups and zipper pouches to many of our dedicated writers and had giveaways for other students that just came to the party for fun. Not only was this swag great for thanking our writers and others for attending our event, they’re also so functional for college kids. We can’t wait to get our Starbucks refreshers in our cute Charmed cups and to show off our new pencil pouches around campus!

Huddled in the Student Development and Campus Activities lounge with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge, Her Campus Pace and friends watched the very first episode of Charmed. The show follows the life of three sisters who learn they are witches after their mother’s death. Now, I won’t get into the details because I don’t want to spoil it, but I will tell you Her Campus Pace loved it so much that we’re already planning to watch it again next week! 10/10 would recommend!

Watching Charmed on Sunday was the perfect way to finish the week and get into the Halloween spirit. The swag, the food, the theme, the show, and the viewing party in general were a major hit- we all had so much fun! A huge thanks goes out to the CW for not only putting out a new binge-worthy series, but for giving Her Campus Pace the opportunity to partner with them and host an event to remember!
