Kick-off the start of the semester with a new playlist that will get you in the best mood to take on the upcoming term. The school semester has officially started, with that comes new professors, homework assignments, and upcoming midterms and finals to prepare for. While all these things might seem daunting, I think the best way to de-stress about it is to get yourself in the right mindset to take on these challenges. The best way to do that, I believe, is to listen to some music. That is why I wanted to share with you some songs that always seem to get me in the best mood, that I thought you might want to add to your playlist. These are a few songs that I thought would get you excited for the new semester, they are a mix of some new and throwback songs.

“What a Man Gotta Do” / Jonas Brothers

This Jonas Brothers song, which was recently released this past month, I think is just a great song to get you in a good mood. You should also check out their music video too if you haven’t already.

“Wake Me Up” / Avicii

“Good as Hell” / Lizzo

This is just one of many Lizzo songs that always gets me to feel that I can absolutely do anything, her remix to this song featuring Ariana Grande is also very good.

“I Wanna Dance with Somebody” / Whitney Houston

I don’t know about you, but whenever this Whitney Houston song is on I always want to get up and dance.

“Don’t Kill My Vibe” / Sigrid

“123” / Jess Glynne

“Adore You” / Harry Styles

“3 Nights” / Dominic Fike

“Don’t Start Now” / Dua Lipa

“Circles” / Post Malone

“Killer Queen” / Queen

This might be a through-back, but I think it is such a good song to get everyone in a great mood.

“Yellow Hearts” / Ant Sanders

Hi! My name is Elizabeth Byington and I am a Junior at Pace University majoring in Psychology and minoring in Communication Studies. My favorite part of going to Pace is living in the city, since there is always something happening! My favorite things to do in the city are going to SoHo, seeing Broadway shows, and trying new restaurants as much as I can. On my free time I like to read, write, and catch up on Netflix shows.
