What was the main reason you wanted to come to Pace University and move to New York City?
I decided to come to Pace because they give great scholarships and have a great career services program. I’m poor and want a job so it seemed like a match made in heaven.
You said your dream job is to become a comedy writer for a late night comedy show. What made you want to be one?
I want to say it was a specific moment. I watched some Adam Sandler movie and went “Augh! Any bozo could do that! I’m going to write comedy!” And then embarked on my life’s mission to bring comedy into a golden age and clear out the Sandler flop empire. Honestly, being funny has always kind of been my currency in life and I’ve always loved to write. It just kind of evolved from there.
You come from a military family. Where have you lived and what place did you admire the most?
Alright so, in order I’ve lived in; Chicago, Michigan, California, Belgium, Virginia, Florida and now New York City. Belgium is my favorite because I can tell people I lived there and it automatically makes me seem very cultured.
What has been the best thing about being at Pace University so far?
The best thing I’ve done at Pace so far is join the Sketch Comedy group. It’s such an amazing group of funny and talented people that I love being able to work with. Do you follow their Twitter and Instagram? I’ve been running them for the past few weeks.
You went to see Saturday Night Live featuring Kate McKinnon as Hillary Clinton and Alec Baldwin as Donald Trump. What was that like?
Seeing SNL is honestly a dream no matter how many times I go. Kate McKinnon is a god among us and watching her perform in person was like watching Michelangelo chip away the last piece of marble on a flawless sculpture of a business-formal women’s pantsuit.
