How Grubhub Has Made Life For Students A Little Bit Better

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

Our worlds have been flipped upside-down, forcing extreme environmental and routine changes. I think we all would agree that it has been a bit more challenging than expected, with some of us stuck in tiny dorm rooms unable to cook full, nutritious meals for ourselves. Thankfully I am home quarantining with my family, but I still miss getting takeout and trying new foods out of my realm of cooking abilities.

To make your life a little easier, GrubHub is offering a limited time student promotion with a free (temporary) offer for their Grubhub+ student membership! The benefits are actually really useful and can be used whether you are home or still living on campus. Here is a list of some of the benefits with this membership:

  • Free delivery on orders of $12+ at select restaurants

  • $10 Grubhub Cashback after every $100 spent for a limited time

  • Premium support and expedited customer service from Elite Care team

  • Matched Donate the Change donations for a limited time

If you don’t have GrubHub already, you can download the app to see what restaurants near you are offering their delivery services. Honestly, even writing this is making me really hungry and I might need to go get a snack…

Okay, I’m back!

If you are interested in signing up, here are the steps to do so:

  1. Download the Grubhub App

  2. Sign up with your name and email address

  3. Go to My Grubhub → Settings →  Campus Dining → Find your campus

  4. Add in your campus card or student ID after selecting your campus and graduation date

Please note that you will receive an email with instructions on how to sign up will be sent within 5-7 days. If you do not receive an email or see a pop-up banner on the app, please reach out to help_me@grubhub.com.

It is also important to note that you will not be charged BUT you will have to enter your card info to participate.

Overall, I’m really glad that GrubHub is offering this student promotion. While I might not be able to use it in rural Minnesota, a lot of my friends still in New York can! You best BELIEVE I’m sending them the link to this article so they can take advantage of this great opportunity.
