Celebrating 14 Years of “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen”

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

That girl was a…child actor known for The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, which turns fourteen this upcoming Saturday, February 17th! The world was introduced to Lola in 2004 when the film premiered.

The film tells the story of high school student, Lola Steppe, portrayed by Lindsay Lohan, and her family’s move from their native New York to a New Jersey suburb. For Lola, this move is anything but exciting. Loving the culture and stardom New York City has to offer, the last place she wants to be is stuck in the middle of the suburbs, far away from her dream of becoming a star.

In addition to this film, several others will also be celebrating their 14th anniversary this year: Mean Girls, New York Minute, and A Cinderella Story, to name a few. This film is an oldie, but a goodie, so go ahead and give it a watch this weekend!
