Best Spots at Bryant Park’s Winter Village

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Pace chapter.

There’s nothing quite like Christmas in New York City. For me, one of the best parts of being here this time of year is the Christmas markets! While I love them all, I have a soft spot for the Winter Village in Bryant Park. It’s the first one I ever visited and it is one of my favorite places in the city all year round! While the whole market is amazing, there are definitely some booths that you really don’t want to miss out on! This is a list of the top spots I recommend checking out if you make it to Bryant Park’s Winter Village this season.

Shops

  1. Avigail Adam Jewelry

This little shop sells the most beautiful accessories. They sell everything from bracelets to rings as well as the most beautiful goddess crowns I’ve ever seen. Their tagline is “Discover your inner Goddess” and I think it really embodies their company. Their items can be a little pricey but, Hey! It’s Christmas!

  1. Mulberry & Grand

This store embodies girl power and reminds me of Her Campus whenever I see it. With options like water bottles, socks and tote bags, they have something for all of your best friends. All of their items have the most empowering quotes on them. I am definitely guilty of spending my money in this shop while visiting the market!

  1. Bara Boheme Jewelry

While there are so many amazing jewelry options in the market, this one is one of my personal favorites! They sell beautifully simple necklaces and rings; it seems like there’s something for everyone. From the style of the jewelry to the welcoming feeling of the booth, this is one of my favorite spots to visit!

  1. Pamela Barsky

This has been one of my favorite spots to get presents for friends and family since the first time I visited the market! It is an assortment of small bags that can be used for anything like makeup, jewelry, or even pens and pencils. My favorite part is that there are so many options of what the bag says that you can find one for anyone in your life! (I may or may not have a few of these myself…)

  1. Pinky Pilots

Last but not least, while there are so many amazing spots to pick up art in the village, I’d have to say this one is my favorite. All the New York-themed prints are absolutely beautiful and I pretty much want all of them. I really like the style of this artist’s work and I definitely recommend checking it out!!

Hot Chocolate

  1. Santa Claus Cafe

This place has some of the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tasted. Sure, it’s five dollars but it’s worth it!! The line can get super crazy but that’s just because everyone knows how amazing it is. It’s the perfect thing to warm up while you’re busy Christmas shopping for your friends and family. (There’s also hot chocolate at so many places throughout the park that you really can’t miss out!)

Food

  1. Big Mozz

This place has some of the most amazing mozzarella sticks ever. The line for this place seems to always be long but I’d say it’s worth the wait. If you’re craving some comfort food on a cold day, I can’t recommend this place enough!

  1. Jicama

This spot has so many food options it can even be a little overwhelming. They offer anything from crazy hot chocolates to nachos. Everything I’ve ever tried from here has been delicious and I definitely think it’s worth stopping by!

  1. Breezy Hill Orchard

This is the perfect food stop for those of us not quite over fall. It has all the amazing options of an apple orchard that we all love; like apple cider and cinnamon sugar donuts. It’s perfect for a nice comforting treat while Christmas shopping.

  1. Crepe Cafe

This place is definitely my favorite food in the park. Crepes are always amazing but these are next level. They have a large assortment of options ranging from sweet to savory. While I love all the food at Bryant Park, this is the place I’m most likely to head to when I get hungry; so I highly recommend checking it out! Check out Bryant Park’s website for more information about the different shop and food options available this year and don’t forget to visit the holiday market before the season ends. Go grab some delicious hot chocolate and get some Christmas shopping done!!
