Ladies, Valentine’s Day is coming up, do you have plans yet? Some of you might be making plans to go out on a romantic date with your significant other while some of you are going single. Whatever your relationship status may be, you can never go wrong with having a Galentine’s Day and with Valentine’s Day falling on a Thursday this year, it’d only make sense to turn it from one day’s celebration to a whole weekend!

For those of you, like myself, who will be spending Valentine’s Day with friends, we have to make sure it’s fun and make it something to remember. Getting together with the girls is always a good time, so for this weekend, let’s make it a little more special.

1. Go to the nail salon

Getting our nails done is something that my friends and I love to do together. It gives us a chance to sit and talk about whatever we want, since that’s all you really can do when you can’t move around while you wait for your nails to dry. There is always some gossip to catch up on whether it’s from school or between our favorite celebrities, and when you’re done, you walk out with the tea and some freshly painted nails.

2. Group Dinner Date

Who says that a date can only be between you and your boo? If it’s in your budget, make a reservation to your group’s favorite restaurant. Dress up all nice, do your hair and makeup, throw on your cutest heels and round up the girls. I, personally, love any excuse to dress up and what better way to do it than with all of my best friends doing the same?

3. Movie Date

Rom-coms are the perfect movies to watch on this special holiday. Whether the plot is about being single with your friends and partying for a week straight on an island or a forbidden love story, Rom-coms can bring you and your girls together giving you something to cry over together or to laugh uncontrollably over and give you some inspiration for your next trip together.

4. Go out to a bar or a club

Unlike me, if you and your girls are 21+ years old, dressing up and going out to listen to some music and meet new people is always fun. Whether you’re there to meet someone else or to just have a good time with the girls, music, drinks and dancing can always bring the group together to make some memories.

5. Spa Weekend

If you and your squad has the budget and and a free schedule, a spa weekend is the perfect way to go. Whether you’re someone who gets facials and manicures regularly or someone who has never gotten one before, a day at the spa with some ultra pampering can never go unappreciated. Unwind with the girls, kick back, and enjoy your weekend to relax because who knows when you’ll all have that weekend together again?

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be spent with a girlfriend or a boyfriend. You don’t need someone to come pick you up to go on a romantic date. Spend Valentine’s Day with someone or some people you love, whether it’s a romantic relationship or not. Ladies, you don’t need a partner to have a good time, your besties are your besties for a reason. They’re always good company.
