If you’ve been around campus, you’ve noticed that people are sporting Greek gear in hordes. This is because Informal Recruitment is this week! Guys have been spotted rockin’ their neon fraternity Wayfarers, and for Oxy’s collegiette™ population this is the time to get out the lavalieres and lettered sweatshirts. While not a true fashion “trend,” it’s true that the Greek population at Oxy is growing quickly – last Recruitment’s pledge classes were the biggest in Oxy’s history for most organizations! Has it become fashionable to “Go Greek?”
Feathers have been in style for a few seasons now, and they’re still in for fall! Feathers in the hair give off a breezy vibe perfect for summer, but update the trend for fall by wearing feathered jewelry – drop earrings or pendants are a classic, but the risk-takers should try out feather-tasseled bracelets or belts. If you hate the idea of wearing feathers, incorporate a feather motif on a printed top.
