The Happy Tabby

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oxford Emory chapter.

The Happy Tabby is a cute café and has a unique quality: cats! This adorable place opened in August of 2017 and is a great place to go hang out and relax if you are a big fan of felines. There are snacks, coffee, and plenty of comfortable places to sit or lay down. The cats are free to roam around the café. The best part about this place is that almost every cat is up for adoption. They get their cats from Furkids Animal Rescue and Shelter. Each cat has a unique personality and the workers make sure that the visitors at the café treat the cats right. This place is perfect if you are missing your pets and really need some quality time with animals. It is also a great place to recommend to people looking to adopt a cat. You actually have a chance to spend time with the cat and get to know them. All the cats are looking for a good home and are really loveable! Here are some of the cats that I got to meet when I went to the Happy Tabby: This is Binky. Binky is not up for adoption, but is a permanent resident at the Happy Tabby. Binky is sweet and mostly just slept the whole time I was there. He loves to be petted while he is taking a nap!

This is Casino. Casino has a lot of energy! He ran around a lot of the day, and really enjoyed playing with toys. He took a short break to lay down with us, but not for long, and spent most of the time hitting our faces with his tail.

This is Tripod. Tripod only has three legs, but has no trouble getting around. He was asleep most of the time we spent at the cat café, but he loved having company while napping. He is a little feisty, but has such a fun personality

As I said before, the cat café is a great place to go relax and drink a cup of coffee. I know that a lot of people miss their pets while they are away from home, or they just want to be around animals more often. This is a great place to support because the Happy Tabby finds homes for cats that really need them.
