Shannon is a thrifty sophomore that has a love for everything creative!

What do you like to do for fun?  I like to read, take pictures, write, and sing.

Where is your favorite place in the entire world? There’s a place on the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail that I love. There’s a small body of water and an underground quarry that has a tall rusty ladder going into it. I think it used to be an old factory of some sort.

Who is your role model and why? That would be Rosie the Riveter because she’s a badass sign of women empowerment.

What kind of music do you like? I like all kinds of music other than country; some of my favorites are Imagine Dragons, Marina and the Diamonds, The Bravery, Arctic Monkeys, and Lana Del Rey.  It honestly depends on what mood I’m in.

Where do you see yourself in five years? I see myself in either Burlington, Vermont or Portland, Oregon.  Hopefully as a school psychologist or maybe I’ll have my own practice.

What is your go-to outfit?  If it’s warm, leggings, a big sweater, and a self-made scarf.  If it’s hot, a dress and a nice flowy kimono! Anything flower print.

What is your favorite place in Oswego? My favorite place is the lake, hands down! Especially the area by Bev’s when the sun is setting.

What are you involved in here at SUNY Oswego? I am a poetry editor for the Great Lake Review, and I am going to be an R.A. next year. Hopefully I can get involved with the Women’s Center.
