Her light was scintillating

Too bright in fact

She grabbed the attention of people who didn’t deserve to see her light

Her light was being dimmed by energy vampires

People who loved the idea of her

Of what she brought to the table

The light was dissipate

The light was in everyone she helped

But not in herself

She was dim

She was as cold as the ice she was skating on

She was trembling and needed rays of sunshine

But warmth was difficult to accept now

She was left in this catastrophic rink

She was already used to being so unsympathetic

Her light was already deducted

But she’s taking that risk

Allowing warmth

Lighting her own torch

But this time only attracting what was right for her

The light is sparkling up inside of her

She searched, and she found

She will continue to discover

With time and patience her light will be coruscating
