Julia DeVillers is an Oswego alum. She graduated from Oswego in 1989 and went on to write several books for children and teens. One of her well-known books is How My Private, Personal Journal Became A Bestseller. The Disney Channel movie, Read It and Weep, starring Kay and Danielle Panabaker, was based on her novel. She also had a cameo in the movie.
After graduating from Oswego with a degree in Communications, she earned her masters in journalism at Ohio State University. Julia also has a twin sister who is a writer as well. They co-authored the Trading Spaces series.
