Sophomore Jessie Flaim is one of Oswego’s newest students. The Rome, N.Y. native transferred after attending Mohawk Valley Community College for one year.
Coming to Oswego hasn’t been a huge change for Jessie with academics because “I know what it’s like to be a college student and how to be successful.” She decided to come to Oswego because the campus felt like home and everyone was friendly.
Jessie also plays on the women’s tennis team. She has been playing the sport for five years and now it’s something she can’t live without. “My favorite part about playing tennis is all the memories and friends I have made. It is also fun and relaxing to me.” Her favorite player is Roger Federer.
In her spare time, Jessie likes to hang out with friends, watch sports and watch movies. After college, she would like to work for her aunt’s accounting firm as an accountant.
