Her Campus Oswego’s Favorite Halloween Candy

One of my favorite parts of Halloween has always been the candy. Even as a diabetic, I can’t get enough of all the Halloween treats. For Halloween, we wanted to see what candy reigned supreme as Her Campus Oswego’s favorite Halloween candy. But how can you compare a Milky Way to Skittles? In three voluntary polls taken by 11 HCOZ members, we tried to find what was the best Halloween candy. To do this, we split the candy into three categories; favorite chocolate candy, favorite fruity candy, and favorite kind of lollipop.

Favorite Chocolate Candy:

The options for this poll were Hershey’s, Reese’s, Snickers, Twix, Milky Way, 3 Musketeers, Tootsie Rolls, and M&M’s (RIP Kit Kats, I totally forgot about them). Here are our results:

First Place – Reese’s with four votes

Second Place – A three-way tie between Hershey’s, Twix, and 3 Musketeers, with two votes each

Fifth Place – M&M’s with one vote

Snickers, Milky Way, and Tootsie Rolls received no votes.

Favorite Fruity Candy:

For this poll, the options were Skittles, Jolly Ranchers, Starbursts, Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids, Airheads, Mike & Ike’s and Sweetarts. Here are our results:

First Place – A two-way tie between Swedish Fish and Starbursts with three votes each

Third Place – Sour Patch Kids with two votes

Fourth Place – A three-way tie between Skittles, Mike & Ike’s, and Sweetarts with one vote each

Jolly Ranchers and Airheads received no votes.

Favorite Kind of Lollipop:

For this poll, there were three options; Tootsie Pops, Dum Dums and Blow Pops. Here are our results:

First Place – Blow Pops with five votes

Second Place – Dum Dums with three votes

Third Place – Tootsie Pops with two votes
