Ever since I started wearing makeup, I’ve been finding  products that compliment my skin and face, as well as the ones that go against my skin complexion. Although there are many products that flatter your face such as foundation, concealer, highlight, etc., the product that I use most frequently is mascara. When people first glance at you, one of the first features they notice are your eyes. This is why I prefer my eyelashes to have a thick and bold look. If there is ever a day that I don’t apply it, I have such low self-esteem. Most people, including myself, would describe makeup as portraying your self-identity and uniqueness, and I want to express myself as having a simple yet bold eye-look.

When I was fifteen, I bought my first mascara product at Walgreens. The product was from Maybelline and my initial reaction was how amazing it was, and that my eyelashes really stood out. Throughout the years, I’ve tried different brands such as Wet ‘n’ Wild, Covergirl, L’Oreal, etc. Unfortunately, I didn’t find a type that I was content with and met my expectations. Either the brush would be too small, too thick, too clumpy, or not as dark as I wanted it to be.

Luckily, about a year ago, I saw a commercial on TV about an upcoming mascara called “Better Than Sex” for sale in Sephora and Ulta Beauty; most of the high end makeup stores, and it’s an average price of $25.00. By its title, I thought it would be a great investment! A week later, I purchased the mascara and I’ve never adored a makeup product this much. I was ecstatic by how well it made my eyes stand out. I received so many compliments and it gave me a higher level of self-confidence.

One of the beneficial aspects of this product is that it comes in both regular and waterproof forms. In addition, the mascara has a very voluminous brush, it’s very dark, gives off a thick and bold look, and comes in pretty packaging. If you or someone you know is looking for a wonderful mascara, I would highly recommend the “Better Than Sex” product. I know I am very satisfied with this product, and I will continue to invest in it!
