Useful Sites for Procrastination

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

The Internet is usually the primary destination for procrastination, be it Facebook, Pinterest, tumblr, or whatever satisfies your current desire for distraction. As I am very guilty of using the Internet to delay studying or anything that requires intense thinking, I have discovered many cool websites that serve as great fits for my procrastination lifestyle. So starve yourself from the monotonous, overused websites for a few minutes and check out these unique ones instead!

  1. www.schedulizer.com — If you haven’t heard of this website/utilized its resources, hop to it! Schedulizer allows you to enter your potential classes for the next semester and seamlessly creates a variety of possible schedules for you, allowing you to quickly and easily figure out how to get a Friday with no classes.
  1. www.8track.com — Say goodbye to the days of Pandora playlists, collegiettes! This website allows you to choose stations based on a variety of different specifications to please your ever-changing mood.
  1. www.pbfingers.com — This website is one of my absolute favorites and I frequent it much more than I care to admit. It’s a health and fitness blog and the writer, Julie, makes her life seem so relatable in terms of her progress with workouts and meals. She often shares the exact details of her workout, giving you new ideas to spruce up your current routine and the food she whips up on the regular may inspire you to break out your culinary talents.
  1. www.shopittome.com — This is great for collegiettes with a hunger for fashion and savings. The site allows you to specify your most beloved brands and websites that you frequent for shopping purposes and then compiles a list of their current items on sale in sync with your sizes, preferences and price range. I opt to have a weekly email sent to me and it’s a great Sunday treat to have all my favorite stores and brands compiled in a list of discounted clothes and accessories!
  1. http://www.whatshouldireadnext.com — Attention all book worms: this site is for you! Type in a book that you’ve read and enjoyed, and this site will simulate books of similar type and genre. Talk about life made easy.
  1. http://bdayfreeday.com — This site tells you all the freebies and deals you can get on your birthday. Honestly, what more can I say to pump this one up? I’m pretty sure it speaks volumes for itself.
  1. http://cottonandcurls.blogspot.com/p/favorite-posts.html  — This website provides so many fun and cute tutorials and ideas. Although I have yet to attempt anything on here (quite like my enormous stacks of pins on my DIY board on Pinterest), it’s a lot of fun to scroll around and marvel at this girl’s creativity.
