So You Still Don’t Have the Lip Kit by Kylie?

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

So the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit didn’t work out. You waited three weeks and somehow in the eight minutes it took to fill your online shopping cart, your makeup dreams were crushed into a million neutral toned pieces. I understand. For a lot of beauty gurus it may seem like the world is ending but here are five products that just might fill the ‘K’ shaped hole in your heart.

1. Everlasting Liquid Lipstick by Kat Von D Beauty ($20)

The Kat Von D Beauty line has a huge range of products and among them is the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick. The Kat von D products are affordable and highly reviewed, but I chose this lipstick because of the HUGE color selection. You have a lot more options here than you do with the Kylie Lip Kit and each color has its own swatch so you know exactly how each pigment will blend with your skintone.

2. Liquid Velvet by Ciate ($27.58)

So, Ciate London is definitely a safe option for versitile, quality beauty products. The reviews on their products are consistently high. What made the liquid velvet really stand out is that it’s completely free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates. Keep it kissable, ladies!

3. Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick by Stila ($24)

Stila products are great because they’re easily accessible. You can find these products at most beauty stores and they’re all over the internet. Trying to get a hold of Kylie’s Lip Kit is just a lot of pain, suffering, waiting and wishing. Who needs any of that?!

4. Cashmere Lip Cream by Bite Beauty ($28)

This isn’t the product with the biggest name. However, Bite Beauty prides themselves on making a high quality product using “food-grade ingredients.” They definitely had me at food. This is a great product for anyone who likes the idea of a solid pigment that’ll double as a moisturizer.

5. Liquid Lipstick by Anastasia Beverly Hills ($20)

So, Anastasia Beverley Hills products are no stranger to praise and there are plenty of makeup artists and beauty bloggers that will swear by this line. That being said, they usually don’t have all their colors available at one time. I put them on the list anyway because they are almost entirely smear resistant. You could apply the lipstick, go into combat and still be good to go 12 hours later.

So there you have it! It’s NOT the end of the world (it might be the beginning… of a less Kardashian-ized kind of world). Hopefully these products pull you out of your FOMO funk. If not, I guess we’ll see you in a couple weeks on the Kylie Cosmetics site. Regardless, pucker up and party on!
