OUABe Confident with Alexis Jones

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

OUAB is well-known for bringing inspirational and note-worthy personalities to campus—and social entrepreneur and speaker, Alexis Jones, is no exception.

While Alexis has made an impressive name for herself on television (a former Survivor contestant, red carpet correspondent and ESPN employee), she is most known for her role in empowering women and speaking on such issues as professional development, leadership, activism and social entrepreneurism.

Founder of IAmThatGirl.com, Alexis calls on women to be strong and confident and share their stories on her site.  Feel free to search the inspiration board or nominate your best friend to be featured on the site.  Through “I Am That Girl,” you can even start a local chapter to create a network of support and get to know other women in your area!  If you don’t have access to a computer or live under a rock, then you’re in luck since Alexis’ book, “I Am That Girl,” is coming out October 22nd!

Alexis will be speaking on Monday, October 7th in the East Ballroom at 7:30 PM at the Union. This free event is open to everyone, so be sure to stop by and get ready to be inspired!
