Gabriele Galli ’16

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at OSU chapter.

Name: Gabriele Galli
Major: Marketing
Hometown: Milan, Italy
Relationship Status: Taken

HC: Describe yourself in three words.
GG: Well-traveled, well-dressed, well-educated.

HC: What is your ideal first date?
GG: Go out to dinner in the city for some sterling food and drinks, then go out to a few hotspots to have a good time. It’s something that I do every week, so a girl knows right away what she’s getting into.

HC: Biggest turn-offs?
GG: 1) No style or a confused sense of fashion, 2) Lack of hygiene – your scent can make it or break it, ladies, and 3) Absence of sophistication. “Playing dumb” is a bad play.

HC: What dating advice do you have for girls?
GG: Don’t try too hard or to be something you’re not.

HC: If your life was made into a movie, what actor would play you?
GG: Gosling.

HC: What is the last movie that made you cry?
GG: I don’t cry.

HC: What is your dream job?
GG: Chief Marketing Officer of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) or of ACF Fiorentina (mixing Marketing with fashion or soccer).

HC: Describe your typical weekend.
GG: Friday: Work all day, then go out with friends. Depends on the weekend, but it alternates between house parties and clubs downtown. Saturday, I will try to get some work done and then watch sports (soccer or OSU football). If there is a home game, very little work is done because we do it big at Ohio State. Sunday, I often go eat lunch with my parents to devour some Italian goods and watch some more soccer with the family and friends. My girlfriend and I like to go out to dinner in the Short North on Sundays. Rigsby’s Kitchen, Nida’s and Haiku are favorites.

HC: What is something you want to do before graduation?
GG: I want to seize every opportunity possible. There is nothing worse than looking back at something and wishing you had done it differently. I really try to take it day by day, living my life differently, how I want to.

HC: Where do you see yourself in five years?
GG: I see myself going back to Europe. If I stay in the U.S., it would definitely be in either Miami, NYC or LA. I like the culture and diversity of big cities. There is always something going on and new things to try.

HC: Boxers or briefs?
GG: Boxers during the week, briefs for the weekend.
