I hate being cold, and if you are anything like me, you do too. I have some essentials that I need every time winter rolls around, and I figured I would share them. Thank me later.
1. Beanies
This style of beanie from Three Bird Nest has become one of my favorites. It is so versatile because you can wear it normally with your hair down, or put your hair in a messy bun and put it out the hole on the top. It is totally different and cute. They come in so many different colors too!
2. Cabin Socks
While these may just look like normal cabin socks, I can promise you they are better than any others you have tried. I got a pair of these from Dick’s Sporting Goods, and once you wear these, you will never wear another pair again. The inside has a fuzzy material that is super plush and these are incredibly thick socks. I promise your toes won’t get cold in these.
3. Slippers
Bearpaw slippers are incredible. They are some of the coziest slippers you will ever try. The inside is lined in a faux fur that will make it feel like you are walking on a cloud, while having a hard sole that makes sure you are supported. Pro-tip: These can be kind of expensive, but if you check out TJ Maxx and Marshall’s, they have them on sale pretty frequently.
4. Robes
Robes are amazing during the winter. The best robes though, are long robes. The short ones may look cute, but trust me, when you get a long robe you will never go back. It feels like you are wearing an amazingly soft blanket all the time. This one is from Nordstrom, but there are plenty of places that also have super plush robes.
5. Fleece Lined Leggings
Fleece lined leggings are an essential when having to walk across campus when it is freezing cold. They keep your legs so warm, it’s incredible. These ones from 90 Degree are my favorite. Pro-tip: You can also find these at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s for cheaper.
6. Snow Boots
Snow boots are a must, and I don’t mean just some UGG’s or other fashion boots, I mean SNOW boots. These things will save your butt (literally from slipping and falling) when there is 3 inches of snow and ice, and you have to walk across campus. There are lots of really cute pairs too, I recommend trying to find some that feel lightweight. Otherwise, you will feel like you are doing a serious leg workout. These ones are from Sorel!
7. Reusable Hand Warmers
These are one of the smartest (but rather simple) inventions. Reusable hand warmers are once again, a life saver, when walking across campus. Pop these in the microwave right before you leave for class and then toss them in your pockets, and they will keep you nice and warm. This one is from Target!
8. Blanket Scarves
Blanket scarves are amazing because they are just that, a blanket and a scarf. They are perfect to keep your neck warm and make your outfit look super cute, but then if you need a blanket you have one at the ready! These are perfect for class because as we all know, sometimes it’s really cold and all you want is a blanket. This one is from Express!
