Columbus is a growing city, full of amazing experiences to be had if you know where to find them. Check out these places the next time you want to add a little adventure to your weekend.

1. 400 West Rich Street in Franklinton

Imagine a giant, abandoned warehouse turned creative space full of up-and-coming artists, and you have 400 West Rich Street. Check out Franklinton Fridays on the second Friday of each month, where several artists renting space in the warehouse open their doors to the public to showcase and sell their work.

2. The Book Loft of German Village

This one is a tried and true Columbus favorite – a bookstore with 32 rooms of discounted books in every genre you could imagine, but it somehow still manages to feel quaint and like a local secret.

3. Stauf’s Coffee Roasters

Once you pick out a good book at The Book Loft, head next door to this cozy coffee shop and spend a whole day reading and sipping the best freshly-brewed coffee you’ll find in the city. Stauf’s also has locations in Grandview, North Market and Franklinton.

4. Chocolate Café

The Chocolate Café is one of Columbus’s best-kept secrets. It’s an adorable café in Grandview full of fresh chocolate desserts and chocolate-flavored drinks. Nothing beats their chocolate fondue though. Visit on Friday for all-you-can-eat fondue for only $8.99.

5. Franklin Park Conservatory

At the conservatory, you can spend a day exploring beautiful gardens and viewing unique artwork. The art exhibits here are always changing, but the conservatory is currently featuring the Chihuly Collection, an intricate glass artwork exhibit I’m dying to see.

Happy exploring, ladies!
