Weekend Getaway: The 7 Wonders of Oregon

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

Between the constant list of things to do, the stress and what seems like endless, exhausting days, it’s important to take a step back to de-stress, clear your mind and take a weekend getaway. We often get caught up in the mundane of a daily routine — sometimes you feel like you’re trapped or stuck in your own personal bubble. If you’re looking to escape the noise of the life surrounding you, visiting one of the 7 Wonders of Oregon is perfect for a weekend away. Personally, I am in love with the outdoors and the state of Oregon and I believe the Seven Wonders launched by Travel Oregon gives us a great sense of what this beautiful state has to offer. Oregon is one of those unique states that has a little bit of everything, between coastal views, the high desert, serene lakes or majestic mountains — you can experience all of these different landscapes and so much more just in this state alone. The official 7 Wonders of Oregon includes:

These Seven sights gives you an array of options for the perfect getaway all across the state of Oregon. Luckily, if you’re living in the Eugene or Portland area, most of these places are an average of 2 hours away. You’re living, breathing and put a lot of hard work into your life — we all deserve a much needed getaway.

Having these seven destinations gives you seven different opportunities to escape your daily life and experience this breathtakingly gorgeous state. So grab your camera, your journal, your hiking boots or whatever essentials you need to fully embrace the sight-seeing experience and take a trip to see the beautiful destinations before your own eyes. Whether you visit one or all of the 7 Wonders Of Oregon, I guarantee it will be a trip you won’t forget.
