Two weekends ago, the UO Surf Club brought two vehicles packed with excited students to Wesport, Wa. to attend the 10th annual Clean Water Classic Surf Competition.

The waves in Westport can get out of hand at times, but they were just right for the Clean Water Classic.
UO Surf Club Coordinator Ben Hulburt was happy to see a bigger turnout than last year for the Oregon Surf Club.
Corey Talbott, a freshman at Oregon, grew up in California and has a lot of experience with big surf.
Stephen Semansky, a freshman at Oregon, is in the process of becoming co-coordinator for the UO Surf Club. This was his first trip to the Clean Water Classic.
Kevin Sennewald competed to represent the University of Oregon in a longboard heat. Sennewald is from the Oregon Coast and is accustomed to surfing in chilly conditions.
