Shirts for Summer: How to Accentuate Your Arms

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

Ever feel a little self-conscious about your arms, and feel the need to make them look slimmer? Or do you ever feel the complete opposite and want to show them off? Check out the tops below for styles that will do the trick!

To flaunt toned arms try wearing halter, racer backs, and cutout-style tops. These type of tops leave the shoulders bare, as well as show the collarbones and accentuate the upper body (if you have a smaller bust, try sporting a ruffled haltered top).

If you want to flaunt your toned arms, but feel like being a little bit more modest and don’t want to reveal both arms fully, try wearing sheer tops, and well-placed cut offs. This is because the sheer tops still reveal arms, just slightly, and modest cut outs will still cover up part of your arms!

If you want to make your arms look slimmer, don’t wear something that is tight fitting around your arm. Roomy and loose arm holes won’t cut off at the widest point of your arm – instead it gives the impression of slim arms!
