Its Week 4 And I’m Already Over the School Year

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Oregon chapter.

I think we all lose the enthusiasm of the new school year around week four. For some reason, the motivation to make this year ‘your year’ is gone. Maybe it’s because you’ve realized how demanding all your classes are going to be, or because reality has finally set in that you actually can’t do an 8 am like you thought you could when you were registering spring term. Whatever the reason, you’re completely over it.

I will say that I have tried to re-motivate myself by saying that a school week is only really three days—Monday through Wednesday is full of tedious tasks and studying, while Thursday night through Saturday night are for your girls, and Sunday is spent recovering and getting back into the work mode. Even though this mentality has gotten me through every single week of college, it seems to get harder and harder with each year. I’m certainly not the laziest person in the world, but I’m definitely not super excited to start the assignment I’ve been putting off since it was introduced week one.

If you’re here already, you are not alone. We are all here. The good news is, you just have to make it through the next six weeks of fall term before winter term blues kick in. We’re in this together.

Hellooooooo everyone!  First of all, if you read anything I write, you are golden, and I appreciate you! I am a 21 year old girl from San Diego, California. I am currently a senior at the University of Oregon, majoring in Advertising, and graduating in June.
