I always find it hard getting back into a routine after spending 3 months of vacation, but I think that planning and setting a routine can help you get back into the groove of school. Here are some tips for getting back in a routine for online classes:

1. Have a Bullet Journal or Planner

A way that I’ve been able to get back into a routine for school is making a bullet journal. It’s a way for me to express my creativity and also have an overview of what the school year will look like. Having a planner or bullet journal will help you stay on top of class assignments, exams, or zoom calls by having everything written down.

2. Set A Bedtime Alert

As a college student, it is hard getting enough sleep while keeping up with school assignments so it is helpful to set a bedtime. This will help you manage your time for homework, meals, and your class schedule. It is important to maintain a healthy sleep schedule throughout the school year.

3.  Plan Your Meal Time

Plan your meals ahead so that you can have more flexibility in your schedule to get other things done. Whether you are taking out food or cooking dinner, make sure to set aside time to eat breakfast in the morning before class, lunch in the afternoon, and dinner at night. If you are cooking dinner, make sure to go grocery shopping over the weekend to buy your meal ingredients. This way, you can manage your time and reset in between classes.

4. Establishing a Work Space

Find a space where you are able to be productive and focused with school work. I think that it’s okay to change the dynamic a bit and go to a coffee shop or the library, but having a designated area to work can help you avoid distractions and stay organized.

5. Set Aside Down Time

Schedule down time to work out, watch a movie, or go on a walk. I think that it’s important to make time to reset in between classes so that you aren’t constantly at your desk doing homework. It is  nice to schedule time to take a break from your zoom calls or watching lecture videos and it is beneficial for your mental health.
