Fall is an abolutely perfect season to do new and fun things with your significant other, wouldn’t you agree? Here is a list of activities to do with your SO in the beautiful city of Eugene. Time to get cute and cuddly!
1. Go apple picking.
Why not take a trip to an apple picking farm? A great place in Eugene to do just this is River Bend Farm! This is a family owned farm where you can enjoy things like picking apples, cherries, peaches, and even hazelnuts. They also offer yummy jams, cheeses, jellies, meats, honey, vegetables, pies, cookies and soaps. This would be a perfect place for you and your SO to roam around, take pictures, and enjoy some warm apple cider. Who wouldn’t love this?
2. Stay in and cook pumpkin pie.
Sometimes it’s cozier and relaxing to take a night in and cook. You and your SO can go grocery shopping and buy a bunch of ingredients to take home and cook up a meal or dessert. Who knows maybe you can be the cliche cute couple and get into a food fight? Pumpkin pie, apple pie, a pot pie, cupcakes, or cheesecake are just some options. Cook up something delicious, grab a blanket and hot cocoa, and cuddle up on the couch and enjoy!
3. Take a hike and enjoy the fall leaves.
Hiking up on a trail and sitting at the top with your boy/girl seems like the perfect date to me! Great hiking trails in Eugene are Spencer’s Butte Trail, Mary’s Peak, Mount Pisgah, Jasper Park, Mount June Summit Trail, and Clay Creek Ridge Trail. These are gorgeous areas that involve meadows, lakes, and amazing scenery. How fun would it be to hike on these and maybe even have a picnic? Go and find out!
4. Tailgate at a football game
The University of Oregon’s football team has a couple more games left to watch and enjoy! Go crazy with friends and your SO by hanging out in a parking lot with music and maybe an ice cold beer (21+, of course)? It’s time to get pumped and have some school spirirt.
5. Have a campfire.
An exciting date in the fall would definetely be camping with a bonfire! You and your SO can gather up a tent and sleeping bags and enjoy a night together at a camp site. Some options are Blue River Resevoir in Sweet Home, Valley River Center in Eugene, or Upper Lake in Horton. Here, you can do activities like fishing, canoeing, and exploring. You can also simply sit back and have a bonfire. This would be a perfect place to get closer to that special someone.
