As we are knee deep in spring term, the stress of midterms and classes are taking a toll on students. I’ve taken this as an opportunity to start a new project. As I was looking through Pinterest, I stumbled upon a step-by-step process of how to make fabric hangers like you see in stores like Free People and Brandy Melville. It is an easy, inexpensive project that you can do on your free time.

1. Take the fabric you chose and cut strips that are around half of an inch wide. You can change the width size depending on your preference. I usually cut a little and then rip the rest with my hands so it is not as polished.

2. After you are done cutting your fabric. Take one strand at a time and start wrapping it around your hanger. Once you get to the end of the strip super glue the end before starting another one. Repeat this step over until the hanger is entirely covered with the fabric.
