Jared Evan may be considered an “undercover artist,” but his music is Grammy-worthy. At 23 years old, Jared has been breaking into the music scene since his first mixtape, Radio in My Head, in 2010. Did I mention he’s a mega-hottie?!

His music is known as a unique blend of soul, hip-hop, r&b and pop. His songs have made it onto popular music sites such as http://www.goodmusicallday.com. Luckily for his fans, Jared releases free downloads often.

His music not only provides cool vibes and catchy lyrics, his songs relate to many touchy aspects of life, such as bullying. Jared’s 2012 EP release of The 4th Chapter, included a song about his personal experience with high school bullying. Charlie Brown’s emotional lyrics share an experience between the artist and many of his fans. The song later came out with a rap remix featuring Wax, Emilio Rojas, and Tayyib Ali.

In Jared’s short career, he has toured with OneRepublic and is currently performing with Hoodie Allen and Aer, (in Portland on 3/19 and Seattle on 3/20 – check http://www.hoodieallen.com/tour/ for more dates)! Hoodie and Jared have collaborated in the past, and have recently release a song together called Toast. This song is currently my college life anthem and is constantly on replay in my head!

Along with Hoodie Allen, Jared has worked with many other amazing artists, and released his collaborative album, Boom Bap & Blues last month. Not only do I believe this album is some of Jared’s best work, but so do many music critics and iTunes users. Only hours after debuting on iTunes, the album shot to the #10 spot on the Top R&B/Soul charts.

Needless to say, this young artist has big things coming. With a unique voice, inspiration lyrics, and a cute face – I expect Jared to be a household name by the end of 2013.
