With midterms going on and such, it seems to find possible to find time to relax and enjoy. I always find myself struggling to manage time to myself or to even to hang out with friends. Even in the midst of finals, I think it is important to find time for yourself. One of my favorite things is on Friday to watch my favorite television show.

One shows that I have been obsessing over is a The Bold Type on Freeform. This is the ultimate girl boss show. I began watching this show during season two, with my mom. After a few episodes, I was dying to find out everything about these characters I began to watch season one and continue season two, an anticipated the start of season three. It is about three young women who work for a women magazine. As a student of the SOJC, this is like the ultimate goal. They each have different positions within the magazine. Jane, the journalist at Scarlet is trying to find her place.

Throughout the show, you can tell that she struggles to find her voice not only as a writer, writing stories that have meaning. She also struggles to find herself as a person. We learn about her childhood, the absence of a mother and how much this magazine means together. Kat is the head of social media for Scarlet Magazine, who is not afraid to test the limits. She really does her best to make a difference and lives pretty fearlessly. Sutton, an assistant is finding her way in the industry discovering what she wants. She is very bold and confident, my personal favorite character throughout the show. What I love most about this show is that it is an advocate for women in all aspects, but especially in the workplace. The show educates the audience of the struggles we see in media such as racial issues. The topic also discussed is sexual harassment in many different aspects. As a view of the show, it makes me happy knowing that there are shows like this who want to talk about issues we see in our society. I highly recommend the show to anyone.
